Sand Dunes

Tours that visit sand dunes include Morocco where we visit the Erg Chebbi dunes near Merzouga. In Namibia we visit the world-famous Sossusvlei Dunes which are amongst the highest in the world. In Oman we sleep a night in a Wahiba Sands desert campwhere huge sand dunes of up to 70m high can be seen.

ENGLAND & WALES

Jurassic Coast & the Complete Geological Timescale - These are of course not modern dunes, but  we visit Permian aged fossilised dunes at Dawlish.

MOROCCO

The Trilobite's Sahara Kingdom - We visit the famous sand dunes of Erg Chebbi near Merzouga. Here we really feel we are in the Sahara Desert - because we are! 

Northern NAMIBIA

A Geological Safari - we visit the visit the world-famous Sossusvlei Dunes which are amongst the highest in the world and enjoy a spectacular views. 

OMAN

Ocean Crust and Mountains of Mantles - visits we sleep a night in a Wahiba Sands desert campwhere huge sand dunes of up to 70m high can be seen.
